We have been lucky to have our calendars filled with open-minded and fun customers all year round. There was a point in the spring that The President was mentioned: “Now even if The President calls, we have to kindly say that there is no more space in our calendars.”

Then called Donald Duck.

Kelkkaprojekti, Mr Duck and Sanoma Kids had a mission. We joined forces with Sun Effects and designed Donald Duck’s living room into a sea container that was touring around Finland & festivals during summer months. A space where kids (and adults) could read Aku Ankka and remember how relaxing it actually is to spend time reading. The Grande Finale for this was at Tubecon, the community-driven international YouTube event in Helsinki. There we created Ankkapulco beach, a relaxation area amidst the hustle and bustle. Re-creating these iconic scenes was an inspiring challenge!

“Kelkkaprojekti designed for us a wonderful interior for Donald Duck’s living room for the summer outreach and events, in front of which a beach-themed “Ankkapulco” relaxation area spread out. Sisse’s and Heidi’s interior design was enjoyed by visitors to both the Heureka Science Centre and the SuomiPop festival in Jyväskylä. In addition, Aku’s living room was transformed into an inviting reading nook at Tubecon, held at Messukeskus, and the K16 area once again featured Ankkapulco, which was designed with great detail, down to the colored pineapples.
