From an apartment to a family home

Great location, functional layout, and a head full of ideas! This was the starting point for this fun family and their new home. Room by room, surface by surface, this apartment, which truly needed care, has now been transformed into a bright and cozy home. Sometimes even dolphins in old tiles can get a whole new life by updating the paint, and are ready to swim forward towards a future pipe renovation. By the end of the project, my client has emerged as a supporter of green, gray tones, and pastels, and wallpaper no longer feels like a foreign idea. Although the apartment was in need of renovation, not everything needs to be demolished: old high-quality kitchen floor tiles look completely new when combined with stylish Timberwise parquet.

We bought an apartment where all surfaces needed to be renewed, and at the same time, we also had to consider the apartment’s floor plans. The wish was to create a harmonious whole in the apartment using colors and different materials. One challenge was the bathroom, where a pipe renovation is expected in a few years, so we didn’t want to completely redo the bathroom. The bathroom had relief tiles and a color scheme that was not to my liking. I enjoy decorating, but it’s more about details and smaller entities, so I needed professional help in planning the overall design. Sisse helped us from the beginning with the floor plans and what could be saved from the old. The color scheme was found in the kitchen tile floor, which was the only thing saved from the renovation. The bathroom challenge, the dolphin-patterned relief tiles, transformed into a personalized detail in Sisse’s skilled hands. Many other surprising solutions were implemented that I couldn’t even imagine myself. The WC’s finger panel is one of my favorites.
